Sustainable Community Development Company was established by David Sheridan, a civil engineer with more than 30 years of experience in environmental and water resource engineering. Dave is deeply involved in green building practices:

He chairs the Water Efficiency Technical Advisory Group for the US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) program, and is a member of the LEED Steering Committee.

He chairs a Technical Advisory Subcommittee for the LEED-Homes pilot program, to deal with questions in the Water Efficiency, Sustainable Sites, and Locations and Linkages credit areas.

He is the executive director of the Green Building Association of Central Pennsylvania. SuCoDev is a Gold member of the association.

SuCoDev has established working relationships with planning, design, and construction professionals who have worked together in the integrated process that green building requires.
